I did praise Professir Cox's description of Entropy and the Arrow Of Time on the dead board However I did also revise my opinion, based upon the fact that intelligent people (myself included)were puzzled by the apparent contradictions of the self-evident increasing organisarion that we see all around us. After one hour talking about that subject, this increasing order was not even addressed!
So I think Cox coxed up. Not that he was wrong, but that he was unsatisfactory
After re-consideration of Cox I congratulated Carnyx for his scathing criticism of Cox, which at first I thought a tad harsh But Carnyx was right! Congratulations again Carnyx - you have great percipience!
And, does anyone remember the abuse that was heaped upon Carnyx for his ideas on time?
Yet, as Cox, said, when entropy is complete within a system, time in that sysrem stops because there are no events by which to measure time, and when our Universe reaches the final stage of entropy, time within our universe will stop.
Of course it will effectively stop well before then, because, as Abacus has many times pointed out , there is no reality without consciouness and sentient beings will have expired well before the final stage of entropy
Unless ther is a God who keeps looking at his watch?

To be fair, nay, I think the object of programs like this is to introduce important scientific concepts to all, not just the elite who have had a good education, and hopefully, spark an interest in science. The BBC are supposed to be a public service organization and I guess this was what they were attempting to be.

Yup I can see that Abacus, buy are they not traeting their audience with some contempt, and why use a top physicist -isn't that a waste?
